At the official invitation of the State
Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China, a six-member
delegation of the Press and Quick Reaction Unit (PRU) of the Office of the Council of Ministers (OCM),
led by H.E. Svay Sitha, Secretary of State and Chairman of PRU, left on 17
June, 2012 for a seven-day visit to China with the purpose of exchanging
experiences in the fields of information and media.
The other members of the delegation are: H.E.
Keo Remy, Secretary of State and vice-chairman of PRU, H.E. Professor Pen
Ngoeun, Advisor to OCM and member of PRU,
H.E. Ly Korm, Advisor to the Government and member of PRU, Mr. Nou Savuddhy,
Deputy Chief of Communication Department, and Mr. Nhet Chan, an official of
Press Department.
Just before the departure from Phnom Penh
International Airport, H.E. Svay Sitha stated: “This visit is a great
opportunity for PRU to learn and share experiences with the State Council
Information Office of the People's Republic of China. Moreover, the two
countries' cooperation in information and media needs to be enhanced in the
context of the improvement of Cambodia-China relations, as well as that of
Cambodia-China economic development. Last but not least, I am confident that the
bilateral comprehensive and strategic partnership between the two Countries,
Governments and Peoples will continue to enjoy excellent cooperation for mutual
interests. With this in view, the PRU is strongly and firmly committed to work closely
with the State Council Information Office to further improve this cooperation
through information and media.”
