-     Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is indeed a great pleasure and honour for me to be here with you all this evening to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. On behalf of the Royal Government and people of Cambodia, I would like to take this auspicious opportunity to convey the best wishes and goodwill of the Royal Government and people of Cambodia to the government and people of the People’s Republic of China.
Our two governments and peoples are very proud that our relation has been strengthened and upgraded to “comprehensive strategic partnership”. And I am strongly confident that the long lasting bond of friendship between our countries and peoples, which has been enhanced and expanded through our 54 years of diplomatic relation, will be crucially important for our future generations.
Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,
On this special occasion, may I invite you to join me in a toast:
-     to the good health and success of His Excellency Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China;
-     to the good health of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, His Majesty King-Father Norodom Sihanouk and Her Majesty Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk;
-     to the long-lasting friendship between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China; and
-     to the good health, great success and well-beings of Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, and Distinguished Guests present here tonight.
Thank you
